Web development is my main interest because that is where everything started for me and I have a certain fondness for it. My current job, in fact, is web upkeep/support for UHM's Hamilton Library. Though doing web maintenance can be daunting, every once and a while, it presents itself with an opportunity to learn something new. Over the past few years I have created a number of websites, some for fun and others as side jobs, as a result I would I know a decent amount about web design. I would definitely still consider myself an amateur as I still have much more to learn about the subject. Currently I work with HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, Java, mySQL, and can do some limited flash work; I'm hoping to expand and learn more about Ajax, ActionScript, Ruby and Perl.
Personal Information
I am currently living in Aiea, Hawaii, but I was born and raised in San Jose, California. In 2006 I graduated from Santa Teresa High School. Slightly confused about what I wanted to do with my life, I ended up attending a college in Southern California as a music major; that only lasted a year. Once I realized music was more a of a hobby for me I decided to pursue what I really wanted to do: computer science. Now that I am living in Hawaii, I have learned to love the beach and really enjoy being in the water. Along with playing the guitar, body boarding and body surfing are two of my favorite past times when I am not glued to my computer screen.
